Level Designer

Buzz Monkey Software is currently in need of a Level Designer for various titles.
Responsibilities:
- Craft gameplay missions and levels using Maya, 3ds Max, and proprietary level editing software
- Script gameplay events with an object-based scripting system
- Collaborate on or individually author design documentation including: game design documents, feature and level specs, ramping documentation, and gameplay evaluations
- Design, implement, evaluate and tune gameplay systems and mechanics
- Analyze game design and content implementation issues and solve problems with logic and creativity
- Communicate effectively and clearly with design, engineering and art staff
- Meet deadlines and manage tasks efficiently
Requirements:
- Familiarity with a variety of implementation tools, level editors and scripting languages, and learn new tools quickly
- At least 2 years industry experience as a game designer
And:
- Contributed as a designer to 2 or more shipped titles
Or:
- Contributed to 1 shipped title as a designer and 1 or more shipped titles in another capacity

Senior Environment Artists

Buzz Monkey Software is currently in need of Senior Environment Artists for various titles.
Responsibilities:
- Creation of game environments, including modeling, materials, and lighting
- Collaborating with the Art and Design teams to create high standard models and textures
- Contributing innovative and original ideas towards new processes and tools
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in the gaming industry, with a primary focus on in-engine asset creation
- Solid knowledge of Max or Maya
- Must have a basic understanding of game creation limits and dependencies
- Willing to accept and provide direction, work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks
- Self motivated and a desire to work with a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Complete tasks within the prescribed deadlines

- Gamers who understand what it takes to make games playable and fun
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies

Character Artist

Buzz Monkey Software is currently in need of a Character Artist for various titles.
Responsibilities:
- Create 3D creature and character art that convey the art style through guidelines and concepts provided by the Art Director.
- Collaborate with the world and character modelers to ensure that generated models and textures meet established quality standards.
- Actively participate in character workflow processes, assist leads in defining and maintaining an effective character pipeline.
- Meet given deadlines
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience in the gaming industry with a primary focus on character creation.
- Exceptional 3D modeling and texturing skills
- Ability to generate character geometry and materials
- Familiarity with game development and the capacity to create models and textures which work in harmony.
- Ability to adhere to the project art direction.
- A background and understanding of character design and principles, including but not limited to; form (pose), balance and color theory.
- Experience with Maya and Adobe Photoshop
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic.
